I love the photos of the bark. I also took some pictures of the bark on trees but they didn't come out as good as yours. The birch bark makes the photos much more interesting because of the way it curs and creates contrast with its natural colors. Good idea!
Yeah. I really like the birch with the shaggy jagged bark - It was a lot of fun to photograph. I loved the contrast of the gray bark with the vibrant green of the canopy as well.

I like the angle of the tree bark, I thing if you would have done it straight on you wouldn't have been able to get as much texture.
