Very good work on these. Your monochrome photos are pretty much spot on. The poppy with the grass in the background is gorgeous. A perfect example. For the ball on the wood pile as complementary, I think it's pushing it a bit. Complementary colors are what's found on the opposite ends of the color spectrum. For blue, there is orange. For Violet, there is red and so on… Beige-Brown against a bright magenta I think we can call contrasty but not complementary. Is contrasty a word?

I really like the monochromatic wood pile. The light and different types of wood really add different dimensions to the picture.
